The Silk Road Institute is hosted its very first open discussion aimed at providing spaces for the community to share perspectives and engaging diverse topics. This first event opened the floor for a conversation on negotiating the identities of being Muslim and being Canadian. How do they inform one another and in what ways are each of these identities filled with their own complexities?
The Silk Road Institute’s own Mohamed Shaheen and Dania Suleman lead the discussion on February 7 at Café Aunja. Afterwards, members of the Silk Road Institute were present to answer questions and discuss the Institute’s work and coming events.
